David - Cinematic Character

I'm delighted to present a project on which we've been working for around three months. I was offered the opportunity to work on a 2-min cinematic shot, and I was in charge of creating the main character (David). It was a pleasure to work with the team.

This project relied significantly on the MOCAP process, thus it was critical for me as a character artist to ensure that the model followed the guidelines and fit well into the pipeline. I was also able to learn Fibershop, a tool for making game-ready hair cards. I also created a brief tutorial on it, which I'll link to below if you're interested. Placing hair-cards was a challenging learning experience, but I'm glad I accomplished it. In addition, I was able to explore more of the Zbrush modeling workflow, which allowed me to efficiently model all the character's organic and hard surface elements in Zbrush itself. Overall, it was an amazing project with incredible individuals.
